Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream is looking for an experienced Ice Cream Production Manager or Pastry Chef to lead the Morgenstern’s production staff through daily service operations. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years experience managing teams to execute at the highest standards of pastry and ice cream preparation. As an Ice Cream Production Manager, you will maintain consistency on all food products produced at Morgenstern's through managing the production schedule of all ice cream, cakes, pies, novelties, and special products in collaboration with Management and Ownership. JOB REQUIREMENTS Lead through strong example and clear communication of expectations. Ordering and receiving of all food, beverage, paper and cleaning products. Create and maintain a safe, clean, and well organized operation. Submitting weekly inventory of all products ordered. Assist in the development and growth of new programs and food items. Train and develop production staff to ensure thorough understanding of all preparations. Preform daily checks of all areas within the parlor to ensure proper function of equipment. Participation in managing the overall budget with a focus on payroll and cost of goods sold. Must have a qualifying certificate in food protection issued by New York City DOHMH.
